Bank sponsors in Africa

CNN International has announced Zenith Bank as the exclusive sponsor of its popular weekly feature program Inside Africa.

The agreement builds on the bank’s existing relationship with the network through which the bank has been associated with Inside Africa’s African Business Week segment since February 2007, and is part of a broader advertising campaign targeting the network’s audiences across Europe , in the Middle East. Africa, Latin America, South Asia and Asia Pacific.

Zenith Bank’s CNN International campaign positions the company in front of an international audience of over 200 million households and hotel rooms worldwide. The campaign will include both on-air and online elements and will be advertised through the network’s channels and website – http://www.cnn.com/international – using Strap Lines Zenith Bank – in your best interests and in In your best interest in People, Technology, Service.

The series offers global viewers compelling insight into political, economic, social and cultural issues and trends that are evolving across the continent. Each program, hosted by Femi Oke, includes a segment of African business news and a profile interview with a key personality, as well as in-depth reports on all aspects of Africa today, including travel, the environment and culture.

In January, the bank’s on-air campaign began, which consisted of branding the Inside Africa program promos and continuing sponsorship of the African Business Week segment and editorial highlights of the show.

Online, the Inside Africa page on CNN.com has been updated with a new look that incorporates the bank’s branding. In addition to sponsoring the program’s microsite, the bank’s campaign also includes on-site banner advertising and network co-branding to drive traffic to the microsite and encourage participation in the show.
