Biden has performed extra for Nigeria than for Buhari

THE ALTERNATIVE with Reno Omokri

In less than two weeks, the new American President Joe Biden has appointed more skilled southern Nigerians to senior positions in his administration than President Buhari has in the past six months.

Biden initiated the appointment by calling 39-year-old child prodigy Adewale Adeyemo to the cabinet of the Assistant Secretary of Finance. This is the highest appointment by any Nigerian in the world. Adeyemo now has control over more funds than the Nigerian president. If he had been stationed in Nigeria, Buhari might have made him his PA for photography, like he did at the Igbo race!

Biden has also appointed Osaremen Okolo, another Nigerian American, as his health policy advisor on COVID-19 Response.

Not done, President Biden, Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo appointed his lawyer in the White House. She is now becoming the hand that moves the hand that moves America. Can you beat that

And just when we thought he’d used the hat trick to trick the Nigerians into falling in love with him, he pulled another rabbit out of his generous hat. He appointed another Nigerian, Enoh Titilayo Ebong, acting director of the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).

Wow! Just wow!

It is almost certain that none of the Nigerians appointed by Joe Biden would have found their way into President Buhari’s cabinet. How could they They are neither Fulani enough nor Nordic enough or Muslim enough. Buhari’s nepotism makes Equatorial Guinea-founded Teodoro Obiang Nguema look like a student.

Buhari could learn a thing or two from Joe Biden. I mean, never in our democratic history have we had a situation in which the heads of the three heads of government, the executive, the legislature and the judiciary, are North Muslim men. This is an extreme zero sum game!

Why are the Executive, Legislative, Justice, Department of Defense, Army, Navy, Police, NSA, DSS, NIA, DMI, DIA, NPS, NCS, NIS, and EFCC all North Muslim men? This is against the Federal Signs Act. And yet Buhari’s presidency is complaining about Transparency International’s miserable corruption perception ranking? Of course, Transparency International is aware that nepotism is also corruption.

Buhari’s nepotism as a military ruler in Nigeria led to the unique situation that both he and his Vice President (Chief of Staff of the Supreme Military Headquarters) were North Muslim men with Fulani heritage (Idiagbon was part of Fulani). This regime was so nepotistic that it triggered Nigeria’s first brain drain in 1984, and today Buhari has not changed or learned anything since then!

His nepotism has so divided Nigeria that I wonder if we can ever recover from the Buhari curse as a nation. Even his wife doesn’t like him. She checked out to Dubai like Andrew. Buhari created Nnamdi Kanu in the east and Sunday Igboho in the west. This government came to steal, kill, and destroy.

Due to the Gestapo-like control of the media introduced by the Buhari government, many Nigerians are not yet aware of the destructive effects his nepotism has on Nigeria. But think about it. Boko Haram kills Nigerians and Buhari rehabilitates them. Still, he wants to arrest Igboho on Sunday, who is protecting the Nigerians!

Another example of the havoc Buhari’s nepotism has wreaked in Nigeria is our finances. The current finance minister lacks both academic and professional qualifications to function properly in this post. And what was the result?

Nigeria’s external debt rose from $ 7 billion in 2015 to $ 32 billion in 2020, which is hard to substantiate. Buhari has borrowed more than Abacha, Abdulsalami, Obasanjo, Yar’adua and Jonathan combined. Where did the money go? Much of it in private pockets.

I mean, what is Nigeria doing with building roads in Niger and building railways to their cities if we haven’t done that in Nigeria? And to limit everything, these constructions will be paid for by loans that Nigeria will repay.

I will advise these Nigerians in President Biden’s cabinet to speak into their boss’s ears because if they don’t act soon, they may not have a home to return to after serving the United States government.

Nigeria cannot survive another two and a half years from Buhari’s mistake. We are a resilient people, but we are still human, and that is why people like Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu are standing up to fill the void in leadership that has been created in Nigeria.

In addition to Buhari’s nepotism and false rules, there are too many non-state actors with weapons in Nigeria. On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, the respected Islamic scholar Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi traveled to Katsina on a peace mission. There he met an estimated 500 armed bandits. He appealed to them to walk the path of peace and I recommend him.

But imagine that. 500 heavily armed men. And they are outlaws. They are non-state actors. And that’s just a state. Yet Buhari has erected more roadblocks per square mile in southeastern Nigeria than in war-torn Syria. And this is a region in Nigeria that doesn’t even have a fraction of these armed bandits.

How is it that these armed bandits were not declared terrorists, but the indigenous peoples of Biafra, who are not as much a threat to life and security as these shepherds and bandits? The answer is because they share an ethnic and religious affinity with Buhari while IPOB doesn’t.

The men of the Nigerian Armed Forces, tasked with saving the lives of innocent Nigerians tormented by these bandits and shepherds in the northwest, are instead being sent by Buhari to dominate and terrorize the southern Nigerians.

And why is Buhari doing this? Let’s let Buhari speak for himself.

The newly elected Buhari spoke to the United States Institute of Peace on July 22, 2015 when asked whether he intended to treat those who did not vote for him fairly:

“I hope you have a copy of the election results. The ingredients, for example, gave me 97% [of the vote] honestly can’t be dealt with on some issues with constituencies that gave me 5%. “

This Freudian slip is the philosophy behind the extreme nepotism that has fueled Buhari’s government actions since May 29, 2015.

A little bit about Nasir El-Rufai

El-Rufai did not request the arrest of shepherds
El-Rufai even admitted to paying money to shepherds
El-Rufai did not speak when Miyetti Allah claimed they owned Nigeria
But when Igboho protects the Nigerians on Sunday, El-Rufai demands his arrest!
The same El-Rufai who demolished a hotel for alleged sex parties is now blowing up governors who crack down on shepherds? The same man who admitted to paying shepherds now demands indulgence for shepherds? An intolerant creature who accuses others of intolerance. Rotimi Akeredolu is a thousand times better than you!
Tufiakwa!
