Bring Nigeria back to safety under ex-President Jonathan, Northern Youths Tell Buhari

Members of the Coalition of the Northern Groups (CNG) have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to bring Nigeria back to the era of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, when the country experienced minimal levels of uncertainty.

CNG’s director of strategic communications, Ismail Musa, made the call while watching it live on Vanguard on Wednesday.

This group also deplored the alarming number of killings, kidnappings and general insecurity across the country, and berated Buhari for his handling of the insecurity in the country.

Musa said, “What we are asking you now is that you know that human life is very important; In fact, it’s very important.

“If there is actually something you can do, if you can bring us back to the uncertainty you encountered on board, it will be largely bearable to say he brought us back to (former President Goodluck) Jonathan’s standard, we cry .” about. I mean the murders at the time; the statistics are there to speak for themselves.

“So to me it is really unfortunate that we are being ruled by these types of people at this point in time.”

A few weeks ago, concerned Nigerians protested in Abuja against the increasing insecurity in the north and other parts of the country.

For their campaign, the protesters used the hashtags: #SaveTheNorth; #NorthernLivesMatter; #NorthIsBleeding; #SecureOurLives; #Enough is enough; and #NoMoreBloodShed.

The protesters berated President Buhari for his incompetence and failure to contain the senseless murders in the country.

Protesters said they were upset by the recent escalation of attacks and killings in northern Nigerian communities, cities and highways, adding that the situation has left the region at the mercy of bandits.

They complained about the gruesome murder of over 40 bus passengers in the village of Gidan Bawa, Sokoto state, where bandits blocked the road and set the vehicle and occupants on fire.
