Carrick Wealth has opened a new office in Port Elizabeth, South Africa and is expanding its presence across the country to include the Eastern Cape.
The boutique wealth management and investment company already has offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban as well as in Zimbabwe, Malawi, Great Britain and Mauritius.
At the opening ceremony, Craig Holmes, Carrick’s newly appointed regional manager for Eastern Cape, said he believes there is untapped potential in the province resulting from both its innate economic value and the unique culture of its people.
It’s really important for us to have our feet on the ground and have a solid operation. ”
“There is a very strong sense of community and remote service is not enough here,” said Holmes. “It’s really important for us to be on the ground and have a solid operation, a regional office.”
Holmes added, “There are several business hubs in the Eastern Cape, each with their own capabilities and needs. In Port Elizabeth, the opportunities are mainly generated by industry and SMEs.
“Then there is the more entrepreneurial hub East London and the Transkei as well as the affluent, touristy area towards the South Cape. Establishing a sustainable presence in such a diverse and self-sufficient region as this is important to us as a company. “
Holmes also thanked a number of vendors who were instrumental in organizing the opening ceremony. These included Carrick’s longstanding business partners Overseas Trust and Pension, Sovereign Trust, Hansard Worldwide Limited and iDAD, all of whom have been associated with Carrick Wealth since its inception in 2014 and have been instrumental in the company’s growth and success.
