Coronavirus – Kenya: COVID-19 update (April 4, 2021)

911 people tested positive, with a sample size of 6,045. The positivity rate is 15.1%. A total of 138,988 positive cases were confirmed. The cumulative tests are 1,517,637.

533 patients have recovered, 420 from Home Based & Isolation Care and 113 from various healthcare facilities. The total restores are 94,183.

DEATHS: 18 deaths were reported, 11 in the last 1 month and 7 are reports of late deaths. Cumulative deaths 2,224.

Nationwide, 1,586 patients are admitted to various health facilities. 5,903 patients are isolated and cared for at home. 198 patients are in the Intensive care unit43 of them receive ventilation support and 125 additional oxygen. 30 patients are observed.

* 236 patients receive additional oxygen separately, 222 of them in the general wards and 14 in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

VACCINATION: As of April 3, 2021, a total of 282,518 people across the country had been vaccinated.
