The Dubai-based airline had previously announced that the flight ban to South Africa would last until February 4th.

“Emirates’ flights to South Africa will remain on hold until February 12, 2021 under recent government guidelines restricting the entry of travelers from South Africa into the UAE,” it said in a statement on its website.

Customers who have tickets with final destinations in South Africa will not be accepted for travel at their place of origin.

The airline recommended that affected customers contact their travel agent or the Emirates Contact Center for rebooking options.
