  • The 2021 Major League Baseball (MLB) season will be broadcast live across Africa on ESPN (DStv 218).
  • The series’ world champion, Los Angeles Dodgers, will return to the field to defend his title.
  • A total of 30 teams will play in the MLB.

ESPN will air another season of Major League Baseball (MLB) across Africa. live on ESPN (DStv 218) and ESPN2 (DStv 219).

The MLB’s first place in the 2021 season was thrown on Thursday (April 1, 2021).

Major League Baseball is an American professional baseball organization and the oldest of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada.

A total of 30 teams play in the MLB: 15 teams in the National League and 15 in the American League.


Among the major highlights of the 2021 MLB schedule, reigning champions Los Angeles Dodgers are expected to start their defense campaign with a three-game series against the Washington Nationals April 9-11 with a rematch of their five-game National League division Series starts in 2019.

The 91st All-Star MLB game takes place on Tuesday, July 13th at Truist Park in Atlanta, the first ballpark Midsummer classic and the first to be played at Turner Field in Atlanta since 2000.

The action on the pitch will culminate with 12 division games played on the last day of the regular season league on Sunday, October 3rd.

April 4, 7:00 p.m., ESPN (DStv 218), Philadelphia Phillies v Atlanta Braves

April 4, 10:00 p.m., ESPN (DStv 218), San Diego Padres v Arizona Diamondback
