Kenya: Nigerian singer Omah Lay announces Kenya tour

Famous Nigerian Afro-Pop singer Stanley Omah Didia aka Omah Lay has confirmed that he will perform in Kenya on October 30, 2021.

“Yoh, what’s up Kenya, this is Omah Lay, and I’ll be performing at the Pizza and Wine Festival on October 30th. So come out. Come out with your friends. Come on, let’s have fun. All right?” the singer explained in a video uploaded on his social media pages.

This year’s edition of the Pizza and Wine Festival will take place on October 30th and 31st, 2021 at the Royal Gardenia Gardens Evergreen, Kiambu Road.

The organizers have announced a kitenge dress code and the performer as the triumphant “Godly” crowner.

Kenyan superstars who will grace the event include Bensoul, Karun, Nikita Kering, Chris Kaiga, Nviiri The Storyteller, Kahush and more acts to be announced at the event.

The event was received with great enthusiasm by the artist’s fans as he was previously scheduled to perform at Ngong Racecourse in August just to cancel the event due to the pandemic.

The hitmaker event “Understand” was canceled after the government announced that it would ban all public gatherings and social events.

The Kenyan visit comes barely a year after the Nigerian singer was arrested in Uganda for allegedly performing at an event despite an existing government ban to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The upcoming visit also comes a month after the singer split from girlfriend Gloria.

The breakup comes after he shared a video of her ex-girlfriend and a man emerged who is suspected of cheating on Omah Lay.
