Kenya: Vanessa Mdee is downplaying pregnancy rumors

US-based bongo flava singer Vanessa Mdee has downplayed reports of having a baby with her fiancé actor and singer Rotimi.

These reports surfaced over the weekend claiming the singer gave birth to a hopping boy.

The allegations were constructed through a comment from Navy Kenzo member Aika commenting on a picture post from Vanessa titled “But God”.

Aika then commented “Issa a boy”.

Tanzanian bloggers concluded that Vanessa had conveyed and immediately congratulatory messages and comments flooded the singer’s page, forcing her to respond.

“I don’t have a baby yoo! You’re freaking out my mom. The people’s mother is in Arusha and you’re just starting to bring her out for free that I gave birth. Who told you I gave birth?”

This was the second time Vanessa had had to decline pregnancy claims. In May of that year, she was again forced to come out and purify the air when reports surfaced claiming she was pregnant.

Vanessa quit music and moved to Atlanta to live with her US-based Nigerian fiancé Rotimi. The two got engaged in December 2020 after a year of relationship. Vanessa started seeing Rotimi after ending her six-year relationship with bongo flava sensation Juma Jux, who is currently rumored to be dating Kenyan celebrity Huddah Monroe.
