Mobicel Legend Max launched in South Africa with a 6.8-inch screen

Mobicel, a South African smartphone manufacturer, has added another device to its portfolio and is calling it Legend Max. The model is the successor to the previous Vanilla Legend, which was launched in 2020.

The company has worked on the design and other internals to make it look like a true upgrade from previous models, but it still remains out of date when you contrast it with today’s fast-growing technology. However, the display is the USP of this device as it is a massive 6.8-inch screen, which is a notable upgrade over the previous generation’s 6.5-inch panels.

The phone draws its energy from the UNISOC SC9863A CPU, which has an 8-core CPU that is clocked with a maximum frequency of 1.6 GHz. The GPU unit is the PowerVR GE8322. The RAM is still on the lower side, as the Legend Max only offered 2 GB of RAM with 32 GB of internal ROM, but there is often a slot for an SD card.

Mobicel Legend Max has three sensors on the back, with the main lens being a 13 MP shooter, along with two additional auxiliary lenses. The front camera is a single 8MP lens.

The phone has a decent 4000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The operating system is Android and doesn’t offer much variety in terms of colors as it is only available in green. Mobicel has valued the Legend Max at RMB. 1,799 in South Africa, the equivalent of about $ 119.
