Pastor Adeboye calls for continuous prayers for Nigeria

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Thursday called on Nigerians to continue praying for the country to become a better place to live for its citizens.

Represented by the Church’s national overseer, Rev. Joshua Obayemi, he said at the Savior University’s 13th convocation ceremony on the school campus in Ede, Osun state, that despite the many challenges the country faces, God will turn things around with prayer hereabouts.

He urged graduates to be focused and not give in, saying that despite the difficult situation in the country, success with hard work is waiting for them.

“I want you to be like the other two servants who, in spite of the challenges of their time, just like us in our nation today, have risen and not be discouraged. They did their best and at the end of the day had something to show for their commitment.

“To our dear parents, guardians and the entire university community, please let us not stop praying for this nation and for our nation that the same God who turned things around in Samaria will miraculously turn things around for us.” in this nation ”.

Meanwhile, the university’s vice-chancellor, Professor Anthony Akinlo, said in his convocation speech that of the 381 graduates, 37 bagged the first grade, 137 the upper grade second, 138 the lower grade, and 41 the third grade.

In his remarks after receiving his honorary doctorate, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, praised Pastor Adeboye for his commitment to the success of the university, especially the law school.

He also promised to help the school anytime and urged the school administration to always reach out to him when needed.
