REVEALED: Multi-million naira land built by Nigeria’s Attorney General, Malami, for 22-year-old son revealed

A multi-million dollar naira mansion built by Nigerian Federation Attorney General (AGF) Abubakar Malami in Kebbi state on behalf of his 22-year-old son Abirul-Rahman Malami has been discovered.

SaharaReporters found that the sprawling building is located in the selected Gesse Phase II district in Birnin-Kebbi, the capital of the state of Kebbi.

“The building is across from the Safar Conference Hall, Gesse Phase II, Kebbi State,” a source close to the minister told SaharaReporters.

SaharaReporters noted that Abirul-Rahman, who just got married, is also known for driving around Birnin-Kebbi in multi-million dollar luxury naira vehicles with different license plates.

Malami, 53, a lawyer from Kebbi state who was little known before 2015 when he was appointed to the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, is now one of Nigeria’s richest men.

A series of detailed research conducted by SaharaReporters in 2020 showed that the Nigerian Chief Law Officer had acquired several billion naira properties since being appointed by Buhari.

For example, the AGF has an underground hotel in Sokoto, three houses in Peace Estate, Abuja, a brand new state-of-the-art school in Kebbi, two houses for its sons worth N100 million each, and a new hotel under construction in the Jabi area of Abuja .

Malami also bought a N150 million home in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja in 2020.

A newly built school is at the back of NITEL in Gesse Phase 1, Birnin-Kebbi, while a new house is worth 600 million Buhari.

That’s not all, Malami also built a multi-purpose N3 billion event center in Kebbi state called Azbir Arena for his son in Kebbi.

This is apart from the Rayhaan Hotel on Zaria Road, opposite the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, which has been massively modernized by the AGF.

Online news media has been a target of the AGF camp ever since SaharaReporters published a number of detailed reports on these illegal takeovers.

In addition to falsely claiming to have sued SaharaReporters over the exposed reports that he said damaged his reputation in front of the world, Malami also petitioned former Police Inspector General Mohammed Adamu to arrest the Editor of the online newspaper, Omoyele Sowore.

Despite the recent open portrayals of inexplicable wealth by the AGF and members of his family, President Buhari, who came to power in 2015 with a promise to fight corruption, especially in the ruling circle, has not yet made a statement on the development.

Observers say Buhari’s silence confirms the atrocities of one of his most trusted lieutenants, Malami.
