Singer Portable leaves Kenya a day after the video apology

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has left Kenya to return to his country after apologizing to Kenyans over a video he posted.

In video on Sunday, Portable, who is currently in Kenya, taunted a woman who left him after telling her he was not available to “connect”.

After being called out by Kenyan radio host Maureen Imbai, popularly known as Black Cinderella, for “embarrassing” the country, the Zazzu singer openly apologized for his actions on Monday.

Checks by our correspondent revealed that the singer had deleted the previously shared connection video.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Portable appreciated the Kenyans for hosting him. However, in his most recent post, the singer shared photos and videos of himself on a plane and revealed that he has left the country to return to Nigeria.

Portable, in Yoruba, remarked that he had traveled and was now coming back.

Black Cinderella, who previously called him out, confirmed his departure when she wrote on her Instagram story: “I would like to personally thank you from the entire Nairobi Gist Gang for rising in union to speak out against the malicious treatment and the To oppose wrongdoing that was shown online as they painted us as if we were all in a basket of immorality.

“Kenya is a country where we live the modern western lifestyle. We love alcohol, indulgence and the freedom to party. Above all, we love foreigners and still maintain a warm relationship between Nigeria and Kenya.

“It is my understanding that the musician Portable left Kenya on the next available aircraft and we all wish him longevity in his music career.”

Since arriving in Kenya a few weeks ago, Portable has frequently shared videos and pictures of girls he’s been hanging out with around the country.
