South Africa has named its 45-man squad to compete against the British & Irish Lions on the tour this summer, which kicks off this month when the Lions hit the 26th.

South Africa coaches Rassie Erasmus and Jacques Nienaber finally showed their hand a month after Warren Gatland announced his British and Irish squads.

Almost half of the Springboks squad comes from clubs in England, Ireland, France and Japan, with the South African contingent in Sale Sharks being strongly represented in the selection after an excellent recent form.
