Taste delights fans at the homecoming concert | The Guardian Nigeria News

It was an exciting experience last Sunday when the highlife maestro Flavor brought his usual homecoming concert to his hometown of Umunze in the state of Anambra. The show, which was free for attendees, was a night of non-stop groove.

The concert was organized by Life Beer, who has been a major cultural actor in southeastern Nigeria over the years.

Some other guest entertainers who wowed the audience were Phyno, who reeled his rap hits in front of the ecstatic crowd; Masterkraft, as well as the viral sensation Prophet Odumeje, which also sent the crowd into a weird frenzy.

Flavor has had quite a successful run lately with his Flavor of Africa US tour with several sold out venues in major cities like Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, as well as his headlining appearance at the legendary New York City SOB.

He also closed another headline concert in Lagos last month as part of the Flytime Music Festival.

“I feel that it is the perfect way to celebrate with my fans what a really great year we had and to bring in brand new energy for the new year,” commented Flavor on the concert.

For his part, Aishat Anaekwe, Senior Brand Manager of Life Continental Beer, said: “Life Beer has supported the progress and success of the Eastern countries for decades. We use the concert to bring our wonderful consumers an exciting concert with one of Nigeria’s finest high life musicians, Flavor of Africa. As we grow, we also want our loyal customers and partners across the country to grow with us. “
