The practitioners’ strike continues across Nigeria on Monday, August 2nd

The Nigerian National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) says they want to resume the nationwide open-ended strike and will suspend it from Monday August 2nd.

The tok dis on Saturday at the end of the di executive session of the dia National Executive Council for Umuahia, Abia State.

“We’re going to start a total and indefinite strike on August 2, 2021 … we’re still getting irregularities in the payment of salaries to the department’s officials.”

Part of the Wetin di President of the di Association, Okhuaihesuyi Uyilawa tok, when telling the tok that the decision was made after the federal government failed to implement the Memorandum of Actions 113 days after the last strike was suspended.

Uyilawa follow Nigerians apologize for the strike action we are going to do but insist that the Mata Dey happened because of Di Goment.

For April, the doctors who affect many patients for Goment hospitals will go on strike, but will be suspended after 10 days.

Some of di Mata Wey di Doctors are:

  • di immediate payment of all salaries wey dem dey owes all house officials plus March salary;
  • Raising the hazard bonus to 50 percent of the consolidated base salaries of all healthcare workers and paying the outstanding COVID-19 incentive bonus; and
  • The very high bank fees are canceled, we pay the dey for external job postings for all educational institutions in di contri.
