Wampler publishes on democratic decision-making in Kenya

Brian Wampler, professor of public science and presidential engagement, published an article in the January 2023 issue of American Political Science Review. “Participation, Development, and Accountability: A Survey Experiment on Democratic Decision-Making in Kenya,” co-authored with Michael Touchton of the University of Miami, examines whether participatory institutions enhance accountability in settings where efforts at participatory democracy are limited Resources are faced, weak civil society and a history of authoritarian politics.
